How it works
From your home country, before you set foot in Spain. No paperwork over WhatsApp.
We verify them in hours with a Spanish-quality guarantee.
The landlord sees a profile verified by a local company and requests to see your documentation.
We add a local rent guarantee company that backs your profile with the landlord.
Why trust idRent
Renting abroad as a foreigner — in any city — means sending your passport and payslips to strangers, finding out about scams too late, and paying thousands to relocators. idRent attacks each of those problems head-on.
Upload your documents to idRent once. Landlords see a verified profile with badges — not your original files. You decide when to stop sharing.
For €30 we manually verify the landlord before you sign: property ownership, identity, background. You get a PDF certificate. If something's off, you find out before paying any deposit.
A relocator charges €1,500–€4,000 to do what idRent does for a fraction monthly: assemble your file, talk to landlords, guide you through paperwork. Keep that money for your move.
We convert your income, contracts and references into the local format landlords in your destination city expect. No more misunderstandings over payslips in a different currency or contracts that look different from the local norm.
Every home country has different rules. idRent tells you which documents you'll need, what currency to show your income in, and how much the deposit, first month and agent fees will cost in your target city.
No local guarantor or thousands in a Spanish bank required. We connect your profile with a guarantee company that covers unpaid rent and reassures landlords — an application with a guarantor is worth more than one alone.

Rules by origin and destination
Every origin → destination combo has its own rules. idRent tells you which documents you'll need, what currency to show your income in, and how much the deposit, first month and fees will cost in your target city.
Rent guarantor included
Spanish landlords usually ask for a local cosigner or several months upfront. We connect you with rent guarantee companies that back your application, cover unpaid rent for the landlord, and accept international profiles a Spanish bank would reject.

Renters tell us how it went
“I moved abroad not knowing which payslips to show. idRent built the file in the local format, verified the landlord, and I signed within three weeks. Cost less than a single month with a relocator.”

“The landlord wanted a local guarantor. idRent showed me how to get rent default insurance the landlord accepted. I'd have lost the flat without it.”
James K.

“The landlord verification was the best investment. I found out that the flat I was about to rent was listed by someone who wasn't the owner. idRent caught it before the transfer.”

No. We're software with a support team behind it. We don't find apartments for you — we give you the tools and verified paperwork so you can find one with confidence, for a fraction of what a relocator charges.
Only the idRent team (to verify them), the landlords you choose to give access to, and the rental guarantee companies when you request their insurance and agree to share the paperwork they need to issue it. Landlords see a profile with verified badges — not your original files. You can revoke access at any time.
idRent was designed so a tenant from any country can rent in any city — the platform translates their paperwork to the local format. We currently focus on Spain and Portugal as destinations, and work with origin paperwork from the US, UK, Argentina, France, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Italy and more. New countries added every month.
If the landlord insists on original documents, you share them directly from idRent with a click. But in most cases, the verified profile with badges is enough — landlords get less sensitive data and more trust, and they like that.
It's a company that guarantees the landlord they'll receive the rent every month even if you stop paying — the company covers the unpaid months and then handles the collection with you. Due to the country's economic situation, many landlords in Spain require this coverage before signing the lease, especially with foreign tenants who don't have a local rental history. From idRent you can request coverage from several partner companies using your already-verified profile — you decide which ones see your paperwork and, if they issue the guarantee, you show it to the landlord as proof of backing.
